Es handelt sich um ein Remake von Dracula X: Rondo of Blood.
Die Grafik ist 3D, die Spielmechanik aber 2D (ähnlich wie Ultimate Ghosts & Goblins von Capcom).

Außer dem Remake enthält Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles die Original-Version der Turbo Duo sowie eine Umsetzung
von Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
